The first Brass 'n Stumps fundraising event at Fairbridge Village was held on the Lord's Taverners Oval in bright sunshine in early April. The aim of the annual event is to raise funds for ongoing Cricket Camps for disadvantaged youth to be held on a regular basis at Fairbridge.

 

Two teams comprised of State and grade players and including several local identities in a sprited 20/20 contest on the well grassed oval. A small, but appreciative crowd enjoyed tha match while wandering amongst the boundary stalls or have lunch in the marquee.

 

His Excellency the Governor of WA launched proceedings, as you can see, with a very proficient coin toss.
