Two former WA Junior Taverners ahave been selected in the National Under 19 Squad which will be aiming to successfully defend the ICC World Cup in Queensland in August this year.
Left arm fast bowler Joel Paris (seen here with Patron, Dr Ken Michael) was Junior Taverner in 2011, and top order batsman, Will Bosusto, (below) our choice as Junior Taverner 2012.
Lord's Taverners WA wish both boys lots of luck and look forward to hearing of good results.
The ICC Under-19 World will be held in Queensland
in August with the first matches getting underway on 11 August when Australia
will take on rival England at Tony Ireland Stadium (TIS) in Townsville.
Australia's other group matches are against Nepal
(13 August at TIS) and Ireland (14 August at Endeavour Park) before the
competition enters the Super League and secondary Plate Championship stage. The
final will be played on 26 August at Tony Ireland Stadium.
