Australian cricket legend, Adam Gilchrist, is giving back to the sport he loves, taking up the role of national ambassador for cricketing charity the Lord's Taverners.

Gilchrist will be officially inducted into the new role by former test cricketer and Lord's Taverners national president Paul Sheahan in a ceremony and dinner to be held at the Sydney Cricket Ground on August 15.
